A vote from the Central Bucks School District enacted a controversial library policy, which gives residents the ability to challenge school books.

A library policy that has faced constant pushback in Central Bucks School District passed a board vote Tuesday night.

Library Policy 109.2 empowers parents to challenge reading materials and restrict access to students.

Banning future books, through creation of restrictive and vague selection criteria, is the exact goal of Central Bucks proposed library policy.

The library was temporarily closed due to rising coronavirus cases along with "serious concerns" about mask compliance, officials said.
