Let me tell you, this centre is long overdue in the Omi Community. [cheers and applause] i want to start by thanking supervisor safaye, who is really, i think the best supervisor district 11 has ever had. Let me tell you, because of his work and advocacy, we are bringing more resources than ever to this community. We saved 21 units just on Mission Street where low income families were facing eviction. He took the leadership, we purchased that property and protected those units for generations to...

Projects, negotiated the ability to go up to one for one parking. This is far less than one for one. We added about 30 plus i think it is 39 spaces for over 137 units. The idea is that some of these families will have cars, that is a reality, and rather than impact the immediate neighborhood, well have them have this option. So all of those things together added to the cost, the time, the construction cost, the construction type, the size of the project, so we so excited about this. Weve gotten ...

As latinos we are unified in some ways and incredibly diverse in others and this exhibit really is an exploration of nuance in how we present those ideas. Our debts are not for sale. A piece about sanctuary and how his whole family served in the army and its a long Family Tradition and these people that look at us as foreigners, we have been here and we are part of america, you know, and we had to reinforce that. I have been cure rating here for about 18 year. We started with a table top, candle...

Are trying to get people out of the hall of justice. Can you talk to that . I was just made aware of that fact myself very recently. We are in discussions with the Police Department to see if we can rectify the situation. It is not, unfortunately, uncommon for city departments to take over a vacated space. As soon as one unit moves out, before i can move another unit in, someone will take squat the space. I think this is a different situation. I think we are trying to get everyone out of the bui...

Today in the omi in district 7 [cheers and applause] they say it takes Broad Strokes to make something truly incredible, people to enjoy and thats the message we have here today. Theres no better person to articulate the vision for advancing Economic Opportunity and equity in our city than our next speaker that is joining all of us and leading these efforts with us today and that is our mayor, london reed. Hello, lakeview hello i am so excited to be here let me tell you, this centre is long over...

Kevin stall, and a rider of the bus line. And a major advocate for Pedestrian Safety and a lot of the changes here will help improve the corridor a lot. One of the major thoroughfares south of market with a lot of people walk, ride their bikes, drive, and take muni down this street. And with the number of people who are going to be moving into the neighborhood with the new projects, the potential of having a lot of families with children and possibly seniors and maybe people who are disabled who...

The stories of our diverse communities. Speak today i am 134eu9 ing a request to have our Controllers Office provide a report for our board of supervisors regarding a 40 year history of baseline set asides of San Francisco. As you know our budget has reached about 9 billion dollars. And 2 thirds of that is actually not discretionary and so i know that when we submit to voters ideas for Funding Proposals for baseline set asides and we take each item an subject on individual basis that they can be...

In the parking lot 24yearold sundayboy tarlue targeted the teen and walked with her to a nearby house. Once there she refused his invitation inside. The Des Moines Police report says thats when tarlue grabbed her buttocks, chest area and attempted to look down her shirt. The middle school aged girl reported the incident to her principal two days later. Those are targetrich environments for creeps that do that kind of thing. Ryan s. kcci security expert tom conley says no place is offlimits for c...

Steve kccis ryan smith is live tonight where that man approached the girl. Ryan please tell me that teenager was leaving north side library often and euclid when she says a strange man walked man approached her. The man invited her into his home but she refused. Area parents see this library as a safe haven for their children. But a father who lives next door says hes now keeping a close eye on his kids. It is kind of shocking because i have two Young Children myself. Ryan police say the girl wh...
