ভূমধ্যসাগর থেকে ৪৩৯ অভিবাসনপ্রত্যাশীকে উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। তাদের মধ্যে ১৬৪ জন বাংলাদেশি রয়েছেন। বৃহস্পতিবার রাত থেকে উদ্ধার অভিযান চালিয়ে লিবিয়ার কোস্টগার্ড তাদের উদ্ধার করে। লিবিয়ায় বাংলাদেশ দূতাবাস রোববার এ তথ্যের সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
