Hagerstown senior receives STEM scholarship
HAGERSTOWN, Ind. A Hagerstown High School senior has received a STEM scholarship presented by a Richmond-based organization.
Doerstler plans to study agribusiness at Purdue University. She has interned at Nutrien Ag Solutions and served as an office assistant for an accountant.
“After I graduate and my career begins, I want to start working in the agribusiness industry at a hands-on job, where I will be able to help others, be a positive influence to younger people involved in agriculture and be someone they can job shadow or seek advice from about what they hope to do later in life,” she said.

Hunter Strain
For Hunter Strain, his senior year at Northview High School has definitely had its obstacles.
The constantly-changing schedules affected by COVID-19, as well as a nagging injury that sidelined him for much of the cross country season, have impacted what normally is the highlight of a students high school career.
Things picked up for Strain over the weekend, though, as he found out he was the recipient of a Lilly Endowment Scholarship from the Wabash Valley Community Foundation.
