Muso Prince Kaybee has called out ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba for his stance in a debate over eNCA’s alleged “racist mask policy”.
The broadcaster came under fire last week for asking black politicians to keep their face masks on while white politicians were allowed to go maskless during interviews. eNCA claimed the incident was not racially motivated and said some footage was “maliciously misleading.”
A Twitter user asked the former mayor of Johannesburg for his thoughts on the backlash.

Inkatha Freedom Party MP Mkhuleko Hlengwa says he will not be giving interviews to news channels eNCA or eTV until management meets with him and revises its statement on the conduct of its journalist Lindsey Dentlinger.
Hlengwa said Dentlinger had apologised to him after insisting he kept his mask on during a Budget speech interview, although DA leader John Steenhuisen, who she had finished interviewing, wasn’t wearing a mask.

Hlengwa said he had accepted eNCA reporter Lindsey Dentlinger's apology to him and that the two would hold a meeting soon.
However, he said he would not give interviews to eNCA/eTV until meeting with its management.

A video clip of Dentlinger has gone viral, showing her asking black politicians, including the United Democratic Movement’s (UDM) Nqabayomzi Kwankwa and African National Congress (ANC) MP Bongani Bondo, to put on their mask. However she is also seen conducting interviews with the Democratic Alliance’s (DA) John Steenhuisen and FF Plus leader Pieter Groenewald, without masks.
