The Marion County Sheriff s Office on Thursday said it knows of two suspects involved in the killing of a young mother last month. The agency released a short video clip that shows one of the people, and detectives ask that anyone who can identify the person contact them immediately.
On Feb. 28, Melissa Marie Nease was found deceased in her residence at 68 Guava Pass Drive in Ocklawaha. Nease lived at the home with her three children, ages 2-10; their father; and his 11-year-old son. The man and four children were not at home when Nease was killed.
Authorities said the 29-year-old woman was shot. They previously had not described the manner of death, except to say it was a homicide.
