Polling place moved to new local location | News, Sports, Jobs

bkreitzer@lewistownsentinel.com MIFFLINTOWN – Voters in Tuscarora Township will place their ballots at a new location for this year’s primary election. Acting in the capacity of the Juniata County Board of Elections the Juniata County commissioners approved moving the polling place to the new Tuscarora Township building located at 3044 Middle Road in Honey Grove. The new polling location has been inspected by The Juniata County Voter Registrar and members of the Juniata County Board of Elections. The group certifies the location meets all regulatory requirements. Also during the meeting the commissioners issued a proclamation declaring May as Mental Health Awareness Month. Members of the Juniata Valley Behavioral and Development Services accepted the proclamation. The agency is currently running a community awareness event, the Green Light Campaign, asking residents to show their support by replacing white light bulbs in their homes with green ones.
