Evacuations were lifted for napa and calastoga and parts of santa rosa, in all, 5700 buildings destroys, most of them homes. Authorities say the death toll remains at 40. The Sonoma County Coroners Office identified four of the people who died in the fires. They are a map updated by cal fire slows where the fires are burning right now. A firefighter who was a contractor died when his water tanker rolled over. According to cal fire he was heading down the steep oakville grade helping fight the nun fire. This is a steep road. Oakville grade is known as one of the steepest roads in napa county. I have no confirmation to what the cause of his driving off the road was.
