Theres no traffic allowed, not even foot traffic. It looks a little eerie there. Muni buses are being rerouted. There was a bomb threat at the Northern California offices between kearney and grant. No device has been found yet. Heres another live look at the scene. The police are making sure everything is safe. Bomb threats have been made at Jewish Community centers and institutions across the country today. Live to Southern California where one person has died after a small plane headed for the bay area crashed into homes. This just happened within the hour. The plane took off from Riverside Municipal Airport and was headed to san jose. The cessna 310 slammed into two homes. You can see one of them burning in this live picture. Mild and dry conditions will hold on for one more day as an approaching storm system begins to weaken the ridge of High Pressure currently over the region. Increasing high clouds from the approaching storm will result in slight cooling over the north bay today otherwise temps similar to yesterday will prevail. Rain is forecast to reach the north bay saturday then spread southward across the rest of the district saturday night into sunday. Light to moderate showers along with breezy conditions are expected. Unsettled wet weather remains possible sunday into monday before drier conditions return to the area monday evening. Mild and dry conditions are expected through the end of next week. Building. There was a point when we did hear some extinguishing equipment being fired off by fire crews. Weve not heard that for about the last 30 minutes. Now the big trick with an electrical fire is you cannot pour water on it because water conducts electricity and theres the risk of electrocution and having the fire spread. You have to put some sort of foam or some sort of nonconducting chemical on top of that fire to suppress it. We havent heard that in about the last half hour. Since we havent heard that or seen that weve seen the fire crews pretty much hanging back and weve seen these flames spread. Again, no one injured at this point that we have heard from official reports from either the Philadelphia Fire Department or from peco and were told everyone has been evacuated from the facility.
