And that is why the National Weather service has us under a fire weather watch beginning early in the morning on wednesday. The reason for that . Were expecting gusty winds to gust upwards of 45 miles an hour. A northerly flow. Dry conditions, low relative humidity level and a drop into the teens as we head into that overnight. And again as frank mentioned a lot of vegetation out there that will make it difficult for the dry vegetation. Temperatures are dropping down into the upper 70s in the inland comhelp a bit. Customers will lose power covering part of eight towns including calistoga and st. Helena and lake buriesa. And sonoma will see the most impact and 2,800 homes and businesses will be impacted. That zone includes santa rosa, healdsburg and sonoma. Again the north bay shutoff happening around 3 00. To the south bay, in san mateo, shutoffs will happen overnight. 1 00 a. M. Tomorrow is the protected time for the power to be cut. Fewer than 1,000 homes are under the advisory. Mostly in remote areas but including parts of woodside and la hand ow. So were seeing quite a few fires burning as a new red flag warning goes up for the north bay starting at 8 00 this morning for the east bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains well see that red flag warning and the high fire danger beginning at 1 00 today.
