Complaints of loud music with racist and sexist lyrics that disturb a Southampton neighbourhood fell on deaf ears as the Town of Saugeen Shores Committee of Adjustment (CoA) dealt with a minor variance application because the issue was beyond the jurisdiction of the Town-appointed committee that hears minor variance applications.
The application debated during a virtual public meeting June 21 will add 3,,000-square-feet to an existing building at 78 Alberta St. that is home to LearnFit Strength and Conditioning. Along with the gym, there are five residential units (cottages) and a detached storage building on the site.
