Work had been suspended during Covid. Senior Executive Engineer John Connelly reporting to this month s meeting of Tullamore Municipal District said, much of the restorative work on Acres Folly took place prior to the restrictions on construction activity.

Tullamore is one of the cleanest towns in Ireland ranking fourth in the country in the latest nationwide litter survey by the Irish Business Against Litter (IBAL).
Tullamore is ranked as Cleaner Than European Norms and is only behind Kilkenny, Killarney and Ennis who are also ranked as Cleaner Than European Norms .
Kilkenny topped the rankings for 2020 for a record fifth time, while Ballymun and Dublin’s North Inner City were both seriously littered. For the first time in 13 years, fewer than half of the towns surveyed were deemed clean.
