Dec 17, Colombo: Basil Rajapaksa, Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Economic Revival and Poverty Alleviation, instructed the people’s representatives and government officials to give priority to projects that will benefit the majority in the implementation of the 2021 Budget Proposals. Mr. Rajapaksa said that the implementation of these proposals should be considered at the village level and all regional coordinating committees should be convened on the 21st and 22nd to seek the views of the people in all parts of the country. He said that steps will be taken to inform the chairpersons of the Divisional Coordinating Committees in this regard within the next few days.
