As cleanup continues along a major Belleville road, it marks the beginning of a longer road ahead for some shop owners left to clean up the mess that a water main break left behind.

Andria Powell has owned Circa Boutique and Gift on East Main Street in downtown Belleville for 19 years. Monday morning an employee called her saying it looked like the floodgates opened outside.

Flooding affected businesses on East Main Street’s 100 block. Many of the businesses did not sustain damage or have to follow a boil order.
