The National Anthem of Barbados echoed through the streets of Monaco yesterday afternoon as 17-year-old Formula 3 driver Zane Maloney wrote his name on history’s page with victory in Race 2 at the Monte Carlo Circuit.
Starting in pole position, Maloney produced a flawless drive to notch his first win of the season and he held off the formidable challenge of teammate Isack Hadjar, who finished second. Maloney and Hadjar shared similar fortunes this weekend as the Frenchman crossed the finish line first in Saturday’s opening race, while Maloney was runner-up.
