Logitech has a new Combo Touch keyboard for iPad Pro. The keyboard is now available for pre-order, starting at $199.99. You ll need a new Magic Keyboard with the 2021 12 9-inch iPad Pro (Logitech Combo Touch, anyone?)

You’ll need a new Magic Keyboard with the 2021 12.9-inch iPad Pro (Logitech Combo Touch, anyone?) As if the 12.9-inch iPad Pro isn’t expensive enough, the French site iGeneration reports that the current Magic Keyboard isn’t compatible with the 2021 12.9-inch Apple tablets. This means you’ll have to spring an extra $349 to replace it. (Maybe it’s time to look into a Logitech Combo Touch instead.) Here’s why the previous Magic Keyboard isn’t compatible, per iGeneration: While the 2021 12.9-inch iPad Pro is broadly similar to the 2018 and 2020 models, the new tablet stands out on one point: it’s thicker, at precisely 0.5mm. It might not sound like much, but it’s enough for Apple to adjust its Magic Keyboard, the iPad Pro’s dedicated trackpad keyboard. And according to the documentation provided to the Apple Stores that we have been able to consult, the old Magic Keyboard is not compatible with the large iPad Pros of 2021.

Logitech Combo Touch will give your new iPad Pro a Surface Pro form

Logitech has announced a keyboard accessory for the newly launched iPad Pro. The Logitech Combo Touch backlit keyboard case with trackpad is now official for both the new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models. The case is equipped with four modes that include Type Mode, View Mode, Sketch Mode, and Read Mode. Essentially, it will give your iPad Pro a Surface Pro-like form factor. Like the Surface keyboard, this case is detachable, and it comes with an adjustable kickstand for watching movies and shows. The company says that the backlit keys automatically adjust to a user’s environment with 16 levels of brightness. Plus, you get a series of iPadOS shortcut keys on the keyboard.
