Given the exhaustive effort health care workers everywhere are being faced with during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, “all nurses” across Windsor and Essex County have been named this year’s winner of the Lois Fairley Nursing Award.
It’s the second straight year the award — now in its 14th year — has honoured every nurse throughout Windsor and Essex County. In May 2020, the selection committee also decided the award would be given to all nurses during the first few months of the pandemic.
