Sheffield United forward Katie Wilkinson has been named the FA Women’s Championship player of the season for a second consecutive campaign.
Wilkinson scored 19 goals in 20 games, ending the season as the golden boot winner, again for a second season in a row.
The striker got her season off to the best possible start with two goals on the opening day in a 4-1 win at London City Lionesses, following it up with another brace at home to London Bees a few weeks later.
Wilkinson was consistent throughout the campaign, scoring important goals and an eye-catching free-kick against Leicester City, which also saw her receive a nomination for goal of the season.

Sheffield United Women’s defender Ocean Rolandsen has signed a permanent contract with the club after joining on a short-term deal in January.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a successful spell since arriving from Watford, starting all nine games the club has played since joining, with Neil Redfearn’s side going unbeaten in eight of them, with Rolandsen a mainstay.
The former Chelsea Academy graduate previously represented London Bees as well as the Hornets before swapping south for north in January after the FA Women’s National League was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Rolandsen has been a solid presence both offensively and defensively in the Blades side and got her first assist against Middlesbrough in last month’s Vitality FA Women’s Cup tie.

Liverpool came into their final game of the season sitting third in the table, three points ahead of Sheffield United. A win or a draw against London City would see the Reds finishing the year in third in a season they hoped to get promoted right back up to the Women’s Super League (not to be confused with the European Super League).
