CHEER offers new yearly memberships
The annual CHEER membership year now runs Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, starting with 2021. CHEER is a nonprofit agency that serves the 50-plus population in Sussex County through an array of programs and services including nutrition, transportation, home health assistance, and social and recreational activities. Its mission is to keep seniors in their homes enjoying healthy and active lifestyles. The CHEER membership fee of $30 per year gives members access to all seven CHEER congregate meal activity centers in Sussex County plus eligibility for reduced-priced congregate meals and upcoming trips. They also can participate in agency-sponsored classes and virtual activities. Bus service is available to transport members to and from the centers.
