EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Herb Johnson, who was believed to be the oldest living former Giants player, passed away last Saturday in an assisted living center on Long Island after a long illness. He was 92.
Johnson played for the Giants in 1954, his only NFL season. He spent the previous year with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. Johnson also attended West Point and the University of Washington, worked at Grumman Aerospace Corporation, owned his own computer parts business for 25 years and later sold and taught real estate.

More than 200 Michigan artists – live-streaming their sets from stages, living rooms and studios from across the state – created virtual enchantment during the five-day Spread the Music Festival, which wrapped up March 28 with a home-grown set by The Verve Pipe’s Brian Vander Ark.
Hosted for the second year by the Michigan Music Alliance, the online festival drew thousands of viewers from across the globe and raised more than $10,200 in donations for the Michigan Artist Relief Fund, which assists musicians in need.
Curstin Giffin is the daughter of Beth Reck Giffin and Dale Giffin.
She is enrolled at WCCC where she is secretary of the Exercise Science and Sports Med program. She is in National Technical Honor Society, Student Council, AERO and the Interact Club. She maintains a 4.0 GPA and participates in varsity basketball, earning TVC all academic and all conference awards. Upon graduation Curstin plans to attend Ohio Wesleyan University to major in human health kinetics with a specialty in exercise science and sports medicine. She has verbally committed at OWU for basketball. She intends to be a licensed chiropractor.

HIGHLAND SPRINGS, Va. (WWBT) - About 100 yards from where the Highland Springs field house sits, construction on the Springers’ new stadium is progressing. Bleachers are visible on both sides of what will eventually be the 100 yard ground on which the team will feast.
As crews continue to build the stadium, Loren Johnson and his staff build the Springers for an unconventional season that will kick off in two weeks. That all starts with getting back on the field, after the pandemic forced a long fall without football.
