Los Altos to offer Restaurant Takeout Week Written by Town Crier Staff Report
In an effort to help drive business at local eateries that for now are restricted to offering just takeout and delivery due to shelter-in-place orders, the city of Los Altos is sponsoring Restaurant Takeout Week beginning Friday (Jan. 22).
More than 25 of the city’s restaurants will offer exclusive items and discounts through Jan. 31.
“The City is excited to see our restaurants come together to host a Restaurant Takeout Week,” Mayor Neysa Fligor said in a press release. “I got a sneak peek at some of the offers, and let’s just say my kids have already given me their orders. I encourage all residents to participate in any way that they can, while still following the County and State COVID-19 guidance and orders.”

The city of Los Altos joined forces with the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce and the Los Altos Village Association to sponsor a new holiday program, Trim a Tree @ Los Altos, encouraging businesses, community organizations and residents to adopt and decorate Christmas trees.
The program placed 61 trees throughout three Los Altos business districts: downtown, Rancho Shopping Center and Loyola Corners. Each tree includes an ornament listing the adopter, event sponsors and a QR code to the Trim a Tree @ Los Altos map, marking each holiday tree’s location.
