Recordings by Duke Ellington and Max Roach are among the historically notable musical works that were added to the U.S. Library of Congress in 2022.

The Library of Congress's National Recording Registry announced its latest selection of 25 recordings — chosen for their "cultural, historical or aesthetic importance in the nation's recorded sound heritage." This year's class highlighted how wide-ranging, monumental and sometimes just plain fun the selections can be.

Earlier this week, the Library of Congress announced the names of 25 recordings have been added to the National Recording Registry for 2022 including Wu-Tang Clan's Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and A Tribe Called Quest's The Low End Theory.
