There are three councillors not seeking re-election this fall in Kitchener. CBC K-W has asked candidates to list the top three reasons they're running in this municipal election.

The union representing Conestoga College students says it plans to work on addressing the student housing issue after a report highlighted ongoing challenges students face in finding housing in the area.

  KITCHENER -- A study by the City of Kitchener shows overcrowded student housing is common in the Lower Doon neighbourhood. Mary Cunningham, who lives in the area, wants to see change. "I am concerned about the quality of the places theyre living in," she said. "Weve seen some of them and theyre bad."
