One man is in the hospital with serious injuries after he was involved in a crash the night of Wednesday, June 30th.
It happened at the intersection of 24th Street and Slide Road in Lubbock at roughly 9:35 p.m.
Police say that 32-year-old Justin Skaggs was riding his motorcycle northbound on Slide Road in the right lane of traffic while the driver of an SUV was traveling westbound in the 5100 block of 24th Street. It s said that the motorcycle collided with the back of the SUV.

A Lubbock teen is in jail after authorities say he led sheriff s deputies on a chase that ended with a crash into a utility pole, causing a brief power outage.
While on patrol, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office Deputies attempted to stop a white Chevrolet Impala about 11:47 a.m. Tuesday in the area of 60th Street and Avenue P, according to a statement from LSO.
Officials say the vehicle refused to stop and led deputies on a pursuit that lasted approximately 20 minutes before crashing into a pole in the alley of 43rd Street and Avenue D, causing a power outage.
