Committee To Protect Journalists Writes President Tinubu Over Media Harassments, Says 40 Pressmen Attacked During 2023 Elections

An independent non-governmental organisation that defends press freedom globally, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), has decried the stifling of Media space in Nigeria and appealed to the President Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government to improve press freedom in the country. CPJ said that no fewer than 40 journalists were physically attacked, intimidated and detained during the February 25 and March 18 presidential and governorship elections by state actors.
