The Board of Education on Monday approved buying 3,585 Chromebooks at a cost of $1.01 million for incoming secondary students, two elementary schools and some district staff.
Sue Flynn, who joined the board in 2009 and has been its president for the last two years, stepped down Monday as newly elected members were installed.
