Purple Valley’s Taylor Chegahno is the latest in an increasingly long line of field lacrosse players from the Grey-Bruce region who will play in the NCAA.
Chegahno has verbally committed to play Division I field lacrosse at St. Bonaventure University in the state of New York beginning in 2022.

The Grade 11 student at Peninsula Shores District School has played for the Owen Sound North Stars and was selected to Team Ontario women’s field lacrosse teams twice.
Team Ontario Lacrosse announced the appointment of Lyndsay Brooks to the Management Team.
Brooks who has been involved with both the Lady NorthStar program and with Team Ontario for years as the Head Coach of the U17 Women’s Field Team, will be joining the Management Team as the new Director of Scouting & Player Personnel for the Women’s Field Program.
The position is newly created but many of the fundamental building blocks are already in place or swirling in the mind of Lyndsay Brooks.
Going forward, among her many big ideas is the creation of a data base for Team Ontario.
