A MOTORIST has been banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance. Shane Burford, 28, of Crowcombe Road, Taunton, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Taunton Magistrates Courts. The offence also earned him a £250 fine, a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs. He received no separate penalty for driving without the correct licence. HONG Kai Wong, 47, of Lyngford Crescent, Taunton, was given eight penalty points, along with a £120 fine, after he admitted driving without insurance. He received no separate penalty for driving without the correct licence. For another charge of possession of cannabis, Wong, who pleaded guilty to the offence, was hit with a £100 fine, a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
