In the first four days of the truce with Israel, the Islamist militia has freed 69 people, including 51 Israelis, 17 Thais and a Filipino citizen

After a four-hour delay to the hostage swap on Saturday, there is concern about the fragility of negotiations

A four-year-old Israeli-American girl who was kidnapped by Hamas during its 7 October attack in southern Israel was among the 17 hostages released by the group on Sunday.

She turned four while she was held hostage by Hamas.

Hamas released 17 more hostages Sunday, including nine children and an 84-year-old mother of five who Israel said is in life-threatening condition.

So far, of the roughly 240 people dragged into Gaza by Hamas in its brutal October 7 attack into southern Israel, 62 hostages have been released. A picture of their treatment is emerging.

The total number of hostages released by Hamas has reached 63, while Israeli forces have freed more than 80 prisoners.

Who has been released so far?

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel said that an extension, allowing for more hostages to be released, is an option. But, he said, the ultimate goal of the war will be to destroy Hamas.

Maayan Zin's nightmare came to an end on Sunday as she hugged her two daughters, Dafna Elyakim, 15, and Ela Elyakim, 8, for the first time in 51-days after they were freed by Hamas.
