Someone shot the victim in the parking lot of a Family Dollar store. Reporter it was just before 10 00 sunday night when 21year old jeff morrow went with his friend to sell an item he posted online. A person interested in buying it agreed to neat at the Family Dollar. The suspect is going through his pockets like he is looking for money. And, he reaches in and he grabs the item and takes off running around the car. Reporter morrow jumped out and chasedaf the shotgun. That is when things took a deadly turn. At that point in time, our suspect pulls his gun and shooting and kills jeffrey and continues to flee. Reporter detectives won the owner of this gas station. Forced to close after a huge mess. Details overnight. An investigation is underway right now after a driver turns in front of a squad car as it was responding to an emergency. It happened at the intersection of federal and 88th. 9news reporter noel brennan has been there all morning. Noel the driver was killed and the officer is in the hospital . Reporter that is what we are hearing corey. I want to show you specifically the squad car that was involved in the accident. The front end is smashed up. There is a ton of debris in the middle of this intersection right now as investigators are acttively working, trying to pinpoint what happened with this accident. Heres what police say it all started at about 1 15 this morning. They say an officer was responding to a disturbance call involving a gun.
