No residents injured; suspects taken into custody without incident
MACOMB Macomb police responded to two separate shots fired incidents on Tuesday, one involving juveniles.
According to a July 7 release from Macomb Police Chief Jerel Jones, the first incident occurred in Chandler Park at approximately 8:51 p.m. Officers responded to a radio call of “Shots fired at Chandler Park with several suspects fleeing on foot.” According to the release, three to four shots were fired.
A search of the park by police K-9 “Mac” yielded several spent shell casings and a live ammunition round in the southwest area of the park. An investigation indicated that a group of juvenile males had shot at a passing vehicle while in Chandler Park. Investigators were able to locate the victim’s vehicle and identified the suspected shooter.
