Macomb County commissioners stall on popular move to oppose state water-affordability bills

The boardโ€™s Government Oversight Committee voted 7-5 to โ€œtableโ€ a resolution that would express opposition to a package of bills in the state Senate and state House of Representatives to establish a statewide $2 per-month fee on water bills to help make water bills more affordable for low-income residents.
