At least six of the party s contenders have spoken out in favour of indyref2 in recent months, while UK party leader Sir Keir Starmer has refused to rule out his agreeing to the vote should he become prime minister. In an interview on the BBC s Marr this morning the Scottish Labour leader was asked if he supports Scots right to choose their own future.

SCOTTISH Labour leadership candidate Monica Lennon has officially launched her campaign with a pledge to continue the party’s progressive agenda.
The Central Scotland MSP, who is seeking to succeed Richard Leonard as the party’s leader north of the border, held a live online campaign launch on Sunday night.
It featured endorsements from across the labour movement, with ex-MP Ged Killen, Unite’s Siobhan McCready, Holyrood candidate for Edinburgh Central Maddy Kirkman and North Ayrshire Council leader Joe Cullinane among those who gave their support.
Ms Lennon was described as the candidate with the “bold ideas” needed to transform Scottish Labour’s fortunes.
