In a heart-breaking incident that has left Madhya Pradesh in shock, a 35-year-old rape convict who was released after getting relief in a jail term, raped another minor girl in Satna district on Wednesday evening, a police official said on Thursday.
A minor girl was raped, bitten and assaulted by two men associated with a temple trust in Maihar, Madhya Pradesh. The accused have been arrested and charged with various offenses, while the victim is receiving medical care.
After the incident came to light, the Sharda Devi temple management committee removed the two accused from the temple committee stating that “their act is indecent and has tarnished the image of the temple committee.”
According to the prosecution, the petitioner and prosecutrix [the girl] developed friendship through Facebook and thereafter started talking over telephone.
A 21-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a vendor in the pantry car of a moving train near Itarsi railway station in Madhya Pradesh, a senior official of the Government Railway Police (GRP) said on Saturday.
