A four-day trial began Monday in connection to an incident at the Idaho Capitol on Aug. 25, 2020, during a special session of the Idaho Legislature, when Bundy refused to leave the Lincoln Auditorium and then went limp, forcing Idaho State Police troopers to wheel him out of the Statehouse in a chair.

Christopher A. Ciesielski, 50, is charged with single counts of production of child porn and possession-distribution of child porn. The former charge carries a penalty of 15 to 30 years in prison, while the latter’s penalty runs five to 20 years. According to an affidavit authored by a Michigan State Police trooper, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in October received a tip from Snapchat that an account with the username “ccieslski2020” had uploaded child porn to the internet. The same month, the NCMEC received a tip from Facebook that user “Chris Ciesielski” sent a 59-second video of a child being sexually assaulted.

Wednesday, April 21, 2021   An Arkansas man pleaded guilty in federal court today to illegally damaging and removing more than two dozen trees from a national forest. Jamie R. Edmondson, 46, pleaded guilty before U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge David P. Rush to one count of depredation of government property. By pleading guilty today, Edmondson admitted that he illegally cut and removed 27 walnut and white oak trees in the Mark Twain National Forest in Barry County between June 1, 2019, and Jan. 31, 2020, without the permission of the U.S. Forest Service, which owns and manages the national forest. Edmondson sold the timber to various sawmills in the area.
