First responders in Mahopac were dispatched to Baldwin Place Road near the intersection of Route 6 at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, where there was a report of a multi-car crash, Mahopac Falls Fire Department Public Information Officer Jack Casey said. Upon arrival, first responders found two vehicles that had been totaled, with at least one person in need of being extricated. Crews called for an emergency helicopter, which airlifted the driver of one of the vehicles to an area hospital, while two others were transported by the Mahopac Falls Fire Department ambulance for treatment.
