Day down the road, because theres always going to be this balancing act. i just want to talk about this making progress. gop sources are still saying to me, to paraphrase a line from james carville, its about the math, stupid. and so even if he shows some progress, he gets 10, 11, 12, we cannot say this enough and no one seems to know, by the way, how many solid never kevins but he can only lose four. >> the clerk is just gaveled in. lets just take a listen to see -- >> the house will be in orde...

Picking off another opponent. significant movement, necessary movement for mccarthy who needed to show that he was making progress, members of his conference were saying to me that this was the moment right here, yesterday they gave him the day to figure out if they can get a deal, get some of these members on board but today they needed to show some progress and that will almost ensure that he wont lose any other defectors here so a moment of positive news for mccarthy even if hes not there yet...

The majority. and so it is nobody in the mccarthy camp expected they would win in this vote and he said walking in when manu raju pulled off the great choreography we saw that he was going to get better. it is getting better. the question is is it good enough to win and even if its not good enough to win, is it good enough to convince enough republicans we are making progress, were going to get to a finish line. lets stop the public flogging of our leader, adjourn and keep negotiating. >> i will...
