FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas Razorbacks got a welcome sight with the return of starting linebacker Chris Paul to practice No. 12 of training camp on Wednesday.

The offense struck back during the “fastball starts” period of the 11th practice of training camp for the University of Arkansas on Wednesday.

The University of Arkansas defense set the tone once again at Tuesday’s morning practice, with a dominating performance during “fastball starts” that was fast for only one side of the ball.

FAYETTEVILLE — The first varsity action for Malachi Singleton set the tone for the dual threat quarterback’s prep career at North Cobb (Ga.) High School. When the 14-year-old had to replace an injured three-year starter early in a game at Hillgrove High, he seized his chance. “Malachi came in and had five touchdowns that night, so the rest is history,” North Cobb Coach Shane Queen said. “He started the rest of his career.”

FAYETTEVILLE — Scrimmage No. 1 of fall camp was a dominating day for the front line defense of the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Razorbacks’ defensive front set the tone in the move-the-ball portion of the closed 115-play workout, the eighth of camp, at Reynolds Razorback Stadium on a muggy Saturday morning.

Malachi Singleton led North Cobb (Ga.) High School to consecutive regional championships from 2020-22 while growing into his 6-1, 228-pound frame. He earned his way into an Elite 11 camp invitation and pulled down the No. 5 ranking among dual threat quarterbacks in the country by Rivals.com, and now hes enrolled early at Arkansas.

Arkansas held its first scrimmage of the preseason on Saturday.
