Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC), on Friday presented money and some items to winners in the Zikomo Promotion which target people who travel in their buses and also those who send their goods on courier.

Elube Chibambo, who represented the husband from Mzimba was given Cheque worth K100, 000,while Sugzo Mwantisi from Chiwembe Township in Blantyre was given K75, 000.
In her remarks, Chibambo hailed MPC for introducing the promotion and says the money won will help their family in a number of ways.
For instance, she said this was their first time to win in a competition and vows to continue using MPC services.

Shaaaaa! MPC bus again. I suspect overspeeding by the drivers. The roads are slippery when it’s raining. Drivers need to always remember “kuthamanga sikufika” . Focus on “safe arrival”, not on speeding to death.

Boycott these buses. Whatever strategy it was to boost revenue was the worst from management. Post ffice needs to hire an independent consultant to define their future through robust business plan. Za ma bus siyani. Costs don’t make any business sense

One person has died and eleven others have sustained injuries after a Malawi Post Corporation bus they were travelling in overturned last night in Ntcheu on its way from Blantyre to Karonga, Police publicist for the district Hastings Chigalu has confirmed.
The driver of the bus lost control, a development Chigalu said eventually made the bus to overturn.
“Following the impact, one of the passengers sustained headinjuries. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at Ntcheu District Hospital,” disclosed Chigalu.
He has identified the deceased as 27 year old Madalitso Kamanga Mwale of Mutchaya Village, TA Malengamzoma in Nkhata – Bay.
One of the passengers who was on her way to Karonga Cecilia Kondowe said the accident occurred as the bus was approaching a place called Nsipe.
