Published on: Saturday, March 13, 2021 By: Bernama Text Size: Kuala Lumpur: It was a case of men versus boys as the Terengganu Hockey Team (THT) ran riot to hammer Sabah 11-0 in their opening Malaysia Hockey League (MHL) match at Pitch 2 of the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil here, Thursday. ACT's postponement a good opportunity to slot in MHL

ACT's postponement a good opportunity to slot in MHL Jugjet Singh © Provided by New Straits Times K. Rajan THE Asian Champions Trophy (ACT) is in danger of being postponed yet again, and many feel this window will be ideal to slot in the Malaysia Hockey League (MHL). The ACT was postponed from November last year to March 11-19 with Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Japan, South Korea and hosts, Bangladesh making up the numbers. Terengganu Hockey Team coach K. Rajan said if Covid-19 derails the ACT again, MHL should be slotted in. The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) had said that they might hold the MHL in July or August, or any opening that pops up in an international calendar.

Azlan's men 'taken away' by Arul and Wallace Jugjet Singh © Provided by New Straits Times Pic courtesy of MHC IT will be Christmas before Tenaga Nasional coach Nor Azlan Bakar can gather his players for the Malaysia Hockey League (MHL). For all his players are currently in the national or juniors training camps under coaches Arul Selvaraj and Wallace Tan respectively. Azlan can only get to see them after Christmas and even though the MHL starts on Jan 14, he is not a worried man. However, he will be short of five rising stars from last season, as Terengganu Hockey Team (THT) have poached them.
