NOIDA: The Noida Authority has decided to engage RWAs to provide oxygen for patients in home isolation. This comes after several requests from residents to the Gautam Budh Nagar district administration to devise some mechanism to provide relief to patients in dire need of oxygen. GB Nagar administration had asked the three development authorities Noida Authority, GNIDA and YEIDA to step in and help the residents. Now, after holding several meetings with entrepreneurs and owners of oxygen manufacturing units over the weekend, the authority has also planned to launch a helpline for residents after arranging for supplies. District magistrate Suhas LY said, “We wrote to the three authorities on Saturday to help the residents. Within 48 hours to 72 hours, some concrete measures will be taken to address the problem. We do not want to start something unless we get assurance and commitment from all the stakeholders.”
