We are thrilled to welcome dorothy cochrane, curator in the economics department. Democrats i i think its really come to a head because we have the president United States who jumped in and use that word go back to your country and so there is this sense that we are in a moment that is worse than every every other moment weve been in and i sort of want to push back on that because weve had this racist tone in our politics for a very long time this is nothing new i think what is new is that technology and sort of the influence it has on making the political sphere so accessible just like celebrities are so accessible we get to know everybody every moment every movement and i think the president s words on twitter were particularly impactful for a large number of americans and were having it all play out in a very i think very disgusting manner yeah well you know the twitter doesnt reflect the world Public Opinion or american its usually a bunch of a small group. People that are triggered and thats what they do for a living im really sick and tired of this the twitter
