Anaheim officials may create an advisory board to have more oversight after state auditors chided the city for not having a meaningful monitoring process in place.
The city "lacked a meaningful" process for monitoring contracts with Visit Anaheim, the Chamber of Commerce and millions in related funds, state auditor said.
Anaheim leaders agreed in a 6-1 vote Tuesday night to ask city staff to explore options and see if they could also force Visit Anaheim to end its contracts with the Chamber of Commerce.
