Popular Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola popularly known Naira Marley, who has been a subject of public outrage over the death of fellow musician and former signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad, has denied having a hand in Mohbad’s death. Naira Marley is the owner of Marlian Music, the record label that formerly signed the late Mohbad. Mohbad died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Following his death, there have been allegations that he was assaulted by Naira Marley and his crew.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested the nurse who treated late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, and reportedly gave him an injection before his death.   A police source told SaharaReporters investigators established that the musician was beaten by the same people who always threatened and harangued him, after a show he had in Ikorodu.

BREAKING: Nigeria Police Exhume Mohbad's Body, Begin Autopsy

  The Lagos State Police Command has announced that it has completed the exhumation of the body of Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. The police had said they would exhume his remains to conduct an autopsy as part of further investigation into his death. Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman for the state police command on Thursday tweeted that the autopsy would now commence following the exhumation. “Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence,” he tweeted.

Matthew Aderoju, popularly known as DJ Splash, has accused popular Nigerian singer and rapper, Azeez Fashola, famously known as Naira Marley, of spiking his food and drinks while with him which is currently trying to ruin his life. SaharaReporters reported on Sunday that a woman who identified herself as DJ Splash’s mother, in an audio she sent to an online news blog, Gistlover, accused Naira Marley of ruining her son’s life after moving in with him. He noted that her son returned home with a ‘strange ailment’ and was abandoned by Naira Marley.

Falana Writes Lagos Chief Coroner, Requests Inquest Into Mohbad's Death

  A human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) has requested a coroner’s inquest into the circumstances surrounding the death of Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.   In a formal letter addressed to the Chief Coroner of the High Court of Lagos State in Ikeja, through his chambers, Falana expressed deep concern about the “very tragic death”.
