Boss Energy Limited's Honeymoon in-situ leach project in South Australia has produced its first drum of uranium in more than a decade, a major milestone in a commissioning process that will see production ramp up to 2.45 million pounds U3O8 (942 tU) per year. The company also expects first production soon at its Alta Mesa joint venture project in Texas, USA.
Wellfield pre-conditioning has started as the final step before uranium extraction at the Honeymoon in-situ leach uranium project in South Australia, Boss Energy Limited has announced. It said Honeymoon is on track to resume production by the end of this year.
Emerging South Australian uranium producer Boss Energy (ASX: BOE) has inked a deal whereby Canadian copper giant First Quantum Resources (TSX: FM) can earn up to 75% of any base and precious metals development at the Adelaide-based company’s flagship project.
