Mandous Cyclone News Today

The cold, cloudy weather and drizzles in Karnataka due to the Mandous cyclone has further complicated the situation as Zika virus spread faster under these circumstances according to experts.

Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the Collectors and officials to be more humanitarian and generous while carrying out relief and enumerating the crop loss incurred due to Mandous Cyclone.

Cyclone Mandous likely to emerge into the southeast and adjoining east central Arabian Sea off north Kerala and Karnataka coasts by Monday (December 12). 

Cyclone Mandous, while moving across South Peninsula, weakened to a low pressure area over land. Presently, it is marked as a cyclonic circulation over interior parts of Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and North Kerala. Circulation is expected to move over the Arabian Sea in the next 24hr and evolve as a low pressure area.

The leaders of Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), including MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and local officials, visited the cyclone Mandous-affected places in Andhra Pradesh after many residential areas in the South coastal region got submerged by water logging following torrential rainfalls.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday said that the landfall process of Cyclone Mandous had been completed.

Mandous is all set to weaken, following the landfall, to a deep depression and later a depression on Saturday.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday said that the landfall process of cyclonic storm Mandous will be completed within a few hours.
