Manitoba Extending Restrictions until May 29 As Cases Surge – May 25, 2021 In Winnipeg, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister provides an update on the province’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. Public-health measures that went into effect on May 22 for the Victoria Day long weekend have been extended for the remainder of the week until May 29. The measures were scheduled to end on May 26. Outdoor gatherings with people from different households are not permitted, and only one person per household will be allowed to enter a business, with exceptions for single parents and people who need a caregiver. Retail businesses may only operate at 10 per cent capacity or 100 customers, whichever is fewer.
