Three Vermont companies won awards this year at a national specialty food competition.
The sofi Awards, which stands for specialty outstanding food innovation, are presented annually by the Specialty Food Association in New York City.
Here are the Vermont winners, announced on May 5:
Vermont Creamery in Websterville won a gold medal for its Sea Salt Cultured Butter
Mount Mansfield Maple Products in Winooski won a gold medal for its Organic Dark Chocolate Maple Bark
Big Picture Farm LLC in Townshend won a silver medal for its Farmstead Goat Milk Caramels - Brown Butter Bourbon.
Vermont Creamery s Sea Salt Cultured Butter won a silver medal in last year s sofi awards. Adeline Druart, president of Vermont Creamery said in a news release the company is truly grateful to be recognized again by the Specialty Food Association.
