New Delhi, May 21 : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) said on Friday that it has filed a chargesheet against seven CPI (Maoist) operatives, including Anduluri Annapurna of Pragatisheela Karmika Samakhya (PKS), for their role in conspiring, supporting and furthering the activities of the Maoist group in Andhra Pradesh and nearby states in connection with the Munchingput Maoist case.
An NIA spokesperson said here that besides Annapurna, the agency has named Pangi Naganna; Akkiraju Harigopal, member, Central Committee of CPI (Maoist), advisor and in-charge of Andhra-Odisha border; Boppudi Anjamma of Amarula Bandhu Mitrula Sangham (ABMS); Rela Rajeshwari of Chaitanya Mahila Sangham (CMS); Manukonda Srinivasa Rao of VIRASAM; and Jangala Koteshwar Rao aka Koti of Pragatisheela Karmika Samakhya (PKS), for their ro

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the case against alleged Maoist operatives in Andhra Pradesh, has filed chargesheets against seven persons for their alleged role in “conspiring, supporting and furthering” the activities of the CPI (Maoist), a banned terrorist organisation.
The accused persons are Pangi Naganna; Akkiraju Haragopal alias RK alias Ramakrishna, a member of the Central Committee of the CPI (Maoist) and adviser, and in-charge of the Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) area; Boppudi Anjamma of Amarula Bandhu Mitrula Sangham (ABMS); Rela Rajeshwari of Chaitanya Mahila Sangham (CMS); Anduluri Annapurna of Pragatisheela Karmika Samakhya (PKS); Manukonda Sriniv

The National Investigation Agency simultaneously raided the premises of at least 25 human rights and civil liberties activists in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh late on Wednesday for alleged Maoist links.
According to the People’s Union for Civil Liberties, the raids continued till the early hours of Thursday and the sleuths seized phones, computers, laptops, books and papers from the activists.
Among those raided are said to be some of the most prominent activists in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including Raghunath Verose, a Telangana High Court advocate who is associated with the Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee, Dappu Ramesh who is a member of the Jana Natya Mandali, V.S. Krishna of the Human Rights Forum, and Paani, Varalakshmi and Arun of the Revolutionary Writers’ Association, sources said.

New Delhi, April 1 : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out searches at 31 locations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including the premises of Advocate V Raghunath, K Padma and KS Chalam and several civil and tribal right activists in connection with its probe into the Munchingput maoist case and recovered cash to the tune of Rs 10 lakh and several other incriminating documents.
An NIA official related top probe told IANS, The agency sleuths carried out searches at the premises of Raghunath, Padma, Chalam, revolutionary singer Dappu Ramesh, Pragatishil Women Organisation President Rajeshwari, premises of arrested accused Annapurna and Srinivasan.
