THE Manzanilla/Mayaro Road has partially collapsed and drivers are being advised to avoid trying to use the road which links Sangre Grande to Mayaro. Constant flooding over the last few days and excessive runoff from the Nariva Swamp on Wednesday has washed away segments of the road.
Former Sangre Grande Regional Corporation (SGRC) chairman and present councillor for Valencia East/Toco Terry Martin Rondon said, to his knowledge the diversion of the river near the Pamzanilla resort on the Manzanilla Road has not contributed to flooding in the area.
